Established in late 2022 by Maud Berbille, MB17 FILMS is a boutique production house dedicated to nurturing singular, independent voices. Following her experience at bathysphere and Cinema defacto, MB17 focuses on building patient, long-term relationships that bridges the gap between intimate auteur visions and international reach. The slate reflects a steady growth into divers formats, including a drama series in co-development with Elephant and upcoming features by Julie Colly (COMPLÈTEMENT À L’OUEST), Donatienne Berthereau (ENDING UP THE NIGHT) and Jeanne Nouchi ( PANDORA, co-written with Ghalya Lacroix and ANATOLIA).Recent successes include Johanna Pyykkö’s MY WONDERFUL STRANGER (Angers FF, Göteborg FF), Safia Benhaïm’s LIBERTALIA (Lussas, Douarnenez FF) and award-winning shorts like Ondine Novarese’s RISPONDIMI and Antoine Héraly’s THE MISREMEMBERED. Supported by ARTE and the CNC, MB17 remains a hands-on partner for stories that demand a precise, personal touch.
